Bitcoin Policy Institute in Washington DC
The Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) and Bitcoin Today Coalition (BTC) recently visited Washington, D.C., for a Bitcoin policy summit.
BPI is a non-profit organization that aims to educate policymakers and the public about the benefits of Bitcoin. During the summit, Bitcoiners within the community are expected to hold discussions with regulators and policymakers to share their insights on Bitcoin.
By engaging with regulators this way, BPI is helping shape the future of Bitcoin policy while contributing to the ongoing conversation around sound money and everything it provides.
Bitcoin Rally at Texas Capital
Another rally took place yesterday in Texas, where community members held location at the Capital Building Texas.
People such as the former ERCOT president Brad Jones spoke about the connection between the grid and Bitcoin’s powerful role in securing it.
Strike Available in Guatemala
Strike, a mobile payments app that utilizes the Lightning Network, has expanded its "Send Globally" feature to Guatemala, providing lightning-fast money transfers from the U.S. to Latin America.
The feature offers low fees and real-time exchange rates and allows users to send funds in the local currency of Guatemala, the quetzal.
This expansion comes as Strike continues its mission to provide financial services to people worldwide, regardless of their location or socioeconomic status. With Strike's recent growth and the expansion of its "Send Globally" feature, it is clear that the company is well-positioned to revolutionize the global payments industry with Bitcoin as the core monetary transmission network.
Price
The chart below shows the highs and lows of each bull and bear cycle. The lowest point in this bear cycle has been $15,474, with a strong rebound up to $30,000, even after bank failures in the USA.
It seems Bitcoin is rebounding and paying no mind to what happens in the traditional banking system.
